The Death of an Inspirational Leader

On December 5, a world leader passed away.  Nelson Mandela, the "founding father" of South Africa died at age 95.  Read this article to find out more about Mandela.  After you have read the article, click here and watch the video (red icon "Watch a Video").

    I think that what's inspirational about him is that he never gave up even in jail.
    Nelson Mandela is a leader because he worked to make things right.

      I agree with you because he wasn't giving up when he was in jail. I would like to add in to you, he also fought for justice while he was in jail, and hed did work to make things right. I agree on everything you said.

    Nelson Mandela stood up to segregation and fought for the black people in South Africa. Martin Luther King Junior. To fight with love not hands

    Question #1: I think the most inspirational thing about Nelson Mandela was that he was very brave. Brave enough to say anything, even from prison.
    Questin #2: I think someone who is inspirational is Rosa Parks, because she was very courageous when a white man asked her to move, even though she knew she would get in trouble.

    I think that the most inspirational thing about Nelson Mandela is that, even though he was in prison he still faught hard for justice. I think that Martin Luther King Jr. was a great leader because he handled segregation peacefully not violently and faught hard for justice.

    Even when Nelson was bullied he still fought for his rights. I think that was inspiring to me. I think that Macklemore is a leader to me because when he wins awards, he will say something like you should not be racist or bully peole.

    What I think was most inspirational about Nelson Mandela is that he saw something he wanted changed, so he changed it. A leader I think is inspirational is George Washington because he must have thought that he had to swear loyalty to the side that is best for everybody, not the side that is best for him.

    I really didn't know who Nelson Mandela was untill the CNN student News and, when my friends from class told me. Its really sad having this man die because of all the thing he did to his country.

    What i think was important in the article was. In the 1950s nelson mandela became the leader of a group in south africa. I also think that was impiring about them was that they fought to end reclia segregation.

    The most inspirational thing about Nelson Mandela is that he never gave up. He kept on going even when he was in prison. He still tried. I think that Malala is inspirational too. When she got hit with a bolet she was scared but she kept on trying and got to her dream one step at a time.

    1. Even though he was in prison he didn't stop beliving.He was apart of the racial segregation.
    2. Martin luther king, he didnt stop in what he bleived in and he made everybody equal.

    I think the most inspirational to me about Nelson Mandela, was when he was in jail, and he was fighting for justic!.
    I think Dr.Martin Luther King is inspirtional because he was also fighting for his rights too!.

    Even though he got put in jail and was rejected from alot of people, he still stood with his opinion and, didn't give up. I think Obama is inspirational by bieng the first black president. By doing that, he showed that a black person is the same as a white person, and, also has the same intelligence as any other person.

    Neslon Mandela was in prison for 27 years to stop apartheid and that Nelson Mandela was a leader of a group that was called ANC.I think that Abarham Lincoin is inspirational because he stopped slavery.

    The most imspiractional thing about nelson mandela was thar he nver gave up on him self.He kept on going evn when he wa in prison for 27 years. I think that nelson mandela is a great guy cause of what he did for use kids and adults.

    I think it was brave of Nelson Mandela to keep fighting for his dream right after he got out of jail for 27 years. I also think Martin Luther King Jr. was brave to keep fighting for his rights too!

    i think the most inspirational thing about nelson mandela is he was in jail for 27 years.I think a leader that is inspirational is my dad.My dad is inspiring because he is good at football and I want to be as good as him when I get older.
