Sticky Situation

Tina and Mark are assigned to work together on a report for class.  But Tina ends up doing most of the work while Mark mostly goofs off.  Their teacher gives the report a good grade and praises them in front of the class.  Tina is upset because Mark is getting equal credit even though he barely did any work.  If this happens to you this year, what can you do about it?

  1. I would tell the teacher that my partner was goofing off while I did the work. Also while we are working at one of our houses I would tell their parent that he is not working he is goofing off.

  2. If this happened to me this year, the next time I worked with him or her I would tell the teacher and tell her that he or she is not working.

  3. Another thing is that you have to tell that person that he or she has to do some of the work than just sitting there.

  4. What I would do is I would kindly tell the teacher that my partner did non of the work that I did. Then I would ask my partner some of the questions of the report to show I wasn't lying.

  5. I would get up and tell that person to stop acting so lazy and start doing something even if it’s the smallest thing,I would make sure he get the grade and credit he deserves. If he/she does not do anything I would tell and have his get a bad grade. Remember there is no I in teamwork.:)

  7. Talk to the teacher about the problem. People should not get credit for things done by other people, because thats cheating.

  8. If this happens to me this year I would tell Mrs.Fretias-Clark that my partner wasn’t doing much like he was supposed to, to get equal credit. I wouldn’t like it if s/he gets so much credit that they didn’t deserve…. It might not be the right thing to do if I let them get away with it because what if he/she partners up with someone else he is going to keep doing it and that isn’t a good thing for the person. They won’t be learning much. So if that happened to me this year I would tell the teacher to let her know what’s happening !

  9. I would talk to the teacher about the problem. Taking equal credit for something you didn't do isn't fair to the person who did the work. It's like cheating. Also, it wouldn't be fair if the partner who didn't do any work acts like s/he did it all by themself without the partner who did the work.
